The Method

The Shift Method.

Four phases that move you from the life you built to the one you actually want to live in it.

01

See

Start by getting honest about what’s actually going on. Where you’re overextending, where you’re performing… and the gap between how things look and how they really feel.

02

Name

Put language to the patterns underneath it. The old loyalties, the unspoken rules, the defaults you’ve been running on. Once you can see them clearly, they lose their grip.

03

Shift

Begin making choices from a different place. Not from expectation or habit—but from what’s true for you now.

04

Become

Create what’s next on your terms. Not by starting over, but by choosing differently. The version of you this next chapter is for? She’s already here.

Curious which phase you’re in?

Who I Help

You have so much. Why doesn’t it feel like enough?

Amanda Saviñón

You have the career. The home. The trips. The friends who think you have it together. You’ve worked hard for all of it. And still something feels off. The bar keeps moving. You’re already focused on the next goal before you’ve sat down to celebrate the last one. You’re proud of what you’ve built and somehow still waiting to actually feel it.

You’ve been doing this a long time. Relying on yourself. Figuring it out. Not asking for too much from anyone. It worked. It got you here.

Except here doesn’t feel the way you thought it would.

What you’re feeling isn’t ingratitude. It’s not a personal flaw. It’s a pattern older than your career. You learned early to keep moving. To achieve. To need less from anyone. It made you formidable.

That pattern built you. It’s still building — in the areas where it works. And quietly costing you, in the ones that matter most.

You don’t need to tear down what you’ve built. You need to acknowledge what made you who you are — and decide to go deeper than the self that built it.

In their words

The women I work with, on the work itself.

Sound familiar?

You might be here because:

  • you became everything you were supposed to be and still feel like something’s missing
  • you’re doing more than anyone around you and still wondering what you actually want
  • you’ve done this alone for so long that letting anyone else in feels like a skill you’d have to learn
  • you keep moving the goalpost and don’t know how to stop
  • you suspect your childhood has something to do with it but haven’t gone there yet
  • you don’t want to start over — you just want to feel at home in what you’ve built

You’ve spent years doing what was needed.
Now comes the question of what you actually want.

If you’ve built a life that looks right on paper and you’re wondering what actually comes next — this is that conversation.

Hi, I'm Amanda

I didn’t grow up with the easiest start.

My mom and I were separated for the first 16 years of my life. My dad wasn’t around after I was 10. So I grew up without either of them — no real blueprint, no emotional safety net, no one consistently reflecting me back to myself.

I learned how to rely on myself early. How to keep going, how to figure things out without asking for much from anyone. For a long time, that worked. It made me independent, capable, driven.

I spent 15 years building a career as a photographer and photo editor, working with publications like Vogue, GQ, New York Magazine, and Bloomberg Businessweek. Along the way I created Loyal Nana, a lifestyle platform featuring conversations with women like Sonia Sotomayor and Megan Thee Stallion about identity and reinvention. From the outside, my life looked solid. But internally, something wasn’t landing. I was achieving but not arriving. Always onto the next thing before I could feel the last one.

Eventually I realized the same patterns that helped me survive were the ones keeping me from feeling at home in my own life. So I stepped away and started doing the deeper work — not just changing what I was doing, but understanding how I had been operating and why. That work changed the way I see myself. The way I make decisions. The way I live.

Now I’m a coach and a storyteller. I don’t believe in fixing people. I believe in helping you understand yourself well enough to stop living on autopilot and start choosing from a place that actually feels like you.

Common Questions

Is this therapy?

No. Therapy treats mental illness and works with clinical diagnoses. Coaching works with functional adults who want to change their relationship with their past and their present. I draw on psychoanalytic ideas because they’re the most honest framework for the work my clients are doing — but we’re building forward, not diagnosing backward.

Is this a quick fix?

No. Patterns that took decades to form don’t dissolve in a weekend. The Shift Method is structured to create real, lasting change — 8 to 12 weeks of committed work. You’ll see shifts sooner than that, but the arc takes time.

How do I know if this is for me?

The free 15-minute discovery call is built exactly for this. We talk about where you are, where you want to go, and whether The Shift Method is the right fit — if any. No pressure, no pitch.
