Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 15, 2026
Amanda Saviñón (“Coach Amanda,” “we,” “us”) operates the Shift Life Assessment at this site. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights. We wrote it in plain English; where a legal term matters, we say so.
Who we are (Controller)
Amanda Saviñón, sole proprietor, United States.
Contact for privacy questions, data-subject requests, or concerns: privacy@amandasavinon.com.
We do not have a Data Protection Officer because we are not required to appoint one. Amanda is your direct contact for all privacy matters.
What we collect
You give us directly:
- Your first name and email address (entered in the opening modal).
- Your assessment answers — slider ratings and free-text reflections across seven life areas, which may include sensitive personal reflections. These stay in your browser unless you choose to email or share them; see “How your assessment answers are handled” below. We do not store assessment answers in any database.
Collected automatically when you visit:
- IP address and standard request metadata (browser type, timestamps, pages requested, referrer), captured in our server logs.
- Usage telemetry: which pages you view, time on page, and buttons you click within the assessment. No free-text answers are included in telemetry.
We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel), or cross-site trackers.
How your assessment answers are handled
Your answers live in your browser as you fill out the assessment. They are transmitted off your device only when you choose one of these actions:
- Download PDF — generated in your browser; nothing is sent to us.
- Email to myself — we send a one-time email to the address you provided, then discard the content.
- Share with Coach — we email the PDF to Amanda and to you, then discard the content.
We do not save your assessment answers to a database or cloud storage. Once the email is sent, the copy on our side is gone; the only remaining copies are in your inbox (and Amanda’s, if you shared).
Why we collect each item (Legal basis under GDPR)
- Name & email — to deliver the results you request. Legal basis: performance of a service you requested (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and, where required, consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
- Assessment answers — processed solely to deliver results to you (and Amanda, if you share); see “How your assessment answers are handled” above. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) performance of a requested service; Art. 9(2)(a) explicit consent for any health or emotional content in free-text reflections.
- IP address and server logs — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) in securing the site and preventing abuse. Retained up to 12 months, then automatically deleted.
- Usage telemetry — legitimate interest in improving the workbook. Stored in a private, access-controlled location and automatically deleted after 12 months. Contains no free-text answers — only navigation events.
You may object to legitimate-interest processing at any time by emailing us.
International transfers
Our servers are in the United States (AWS, US East region). If you visit from the EU, UK, or EEA, your IP and telemetry will be transferred to the US. We rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (AWS is certified) and Standard Contractual Clauses as applicable safeguards under GDPR Chapter V.
Your rights
If you are in the EU/UK (GDPR/UK GDPR): access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA): to know, delete, correct, and limit use of sensitive personal information; to opt out of sale or sharing (we do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under the CPRA); and to be free from retaliation for exercising these rights.
Categories of personal information collected in the last 12 months (CPRA § 1798.130): identifiers (name, email, IP); internet activity (telemetry); inferences drawn from your answers while they are in your browser. Sensitive personal information: none retained.
To exercise any right, email privacy@amandasavinon.com. We respond within 30 days (GDPR) / 45 days (CCPA).
Children
This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Server logs and telemetry are in access-restricted AWS storage. No system is perfectly secure; use a pseudonym in free-text fields if you prefer.
Not medical or therapeutic advice
The Shift assessment is a coaching reflection tool. It is not medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice and is not a substitute for care from a licensed professional. If you are in crisis, please reach out to a qualified provider. In the United States, you can call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or visit 988lifeline.org.
